Book Giveaway Winner!

We have a winner! Congratulations Courtney! She won Holley Gerth’s new book “You’re already amazing!” in my recent giveaway.

Holley’s style of writing is so warm and makes you feel as though you’re chatting over coffee with a friend. Her book encourages us to take a good look at ourselves as women ~ our strengths and some things that could be holding us back. She provides exercises that help us discover the way we function emotionally and relationally as individuals, and how these traits were designed by God for us to accomplish that which He created us for.  Holley also challenges us to uncover the lies that we believe about ourselves and to embrace the Truth in order to live out our destiny as children of God.

This book is such a treasure and will open your eyes to who you really are, Who really loves you, and what your next steps might be.

I also encourage you to check out Holley’s blog right here.

A rare treasure…

I was in Barnes and Noble on one of those days. Those days that you feel depleted of energy ~ inspiration ~ hope. And in my usual fashion, I was hoping a book would help me out of my slump. I searched for an hour or so and found nothing. I was so frustrated because, like countless times before, I needed to know there was someone else in the world experiencing something similar to me. To know that I was not alone. To know that there was another Bible-believing, Spirit-filled Christian woman struggling with life. Because life is hard.

As I turned to leave the store, there was a display with a few books and one caught my eye. The cover was beautiful and I am a sucker for pretty book covers. I opened the book and read the first three pages and was transfixed as the tears ran down my face. Here was a kindred soul. Here was someone who had been shredded by pain  and grief and God was transforming her pain into something beautiful.

Ann writes and I weep.  She could write the alphabet and I would weep!  There is a phrase in the Bible called “bearing witness”. It means that something inside you resonates with someone else.  It is a spiritual “knowing” which comes from the Holy Spirit Himself .  When I read Ann’s words my spirit bears witness to her~to her words.  And I am the better for having read them.

Thank you, Ann. Keep writing!
